Thankfully, there are ways you can give your kids online safety, as
well as `in person' safety, but first, here are other important facts
you should know:
90% of children are abused by Someone They Know...
("Stranger Danger" is NOT the problem.)
As many as 60% of kids are sexually abused by someone the family knows
and trusts...
Nearly 40% of kids are sexually abused by older or bigger children.
And, the median age for reported sexual abuse is 9 years old.
Also, nearly 70% of all reported sexual assaults (including assaults on
adults) occur to children 17 years old and younger.
And as for internet safety, federal agencies are monitoring hundreds of
sites where predators are known to be lurking, looking for children to
"groom" and victimize.
Thankfully, there is something you can do to make your children safer
in the world, both to provide internet safety, and for when they
encounter people in person when you're not with them.
My name is Wendy Joy Hart.
I'm a professional coach and speaker and I was raised by parents who
were violent child molesters. They were also part of a ring of adults
that trafficked in Child Pornography and Child Prostitution.

You Can't Tell By Looking
Who the Child Molesters Are

They look and act just like everyone else.
My parents were good-looking, bright, articulate people. My Dad was a
decorated Navy Pilot who among other honors, was awarded the
Distinguished Flying Cross.
My Mom was quite pretty and had a charismatic personality that
attracted people wherever we went. She worked in my schools so that she
could keep me under constant watch and make sure that I never told the
"family secrets."
And periodically, all growing up, one or both of my parents would drive
me to a warehouse where other adults brought their children and the
child porn films were made.
The point of this story is to let you know You Can't Tell By Looking,
who the sexual predators and perpetrators are. Period.
Sexual predators rarely fit the stereotype of looking like a creepy,
skulking man who lives alone in a run-down, one bedroom apartment.
Most often, the predators are Hiding in Plain Sight in and amongst the
other terrific people who work with and support kids:
People like teachers, sports coaches, police, clergy, school bus
drivers, school and church janitors, YMCA and after school staff and
day care providers, to name a few.
And by the way, each of these groups was represented this month (the
month this site went up) as a convicted or indicted child predator
and/or producer or distributor of child pornography!

always wanted to keep him safe from all the predators and creeps in the

I don't that's adequate in this day and age of the Internet.

Right now, there are many parenting guides and children's books that
give instructions on "not talking to strangers".
Sadly, there just don't seem to be many resources that teach kids how
to deal with the predators that are people they already know.
And that's a huge part of the problem: Assuming that Stranger Danger is
the "big threat" is an enormous mistake.
In fact, since 90% of the time, the perpetrators are someone that the
children already know, it's highly likely that you personally know an
abuser.
If you're like most parents out there, you may be thinking, "That just
wouldn't happen to my child! We don't know anybody like that--that
stuff happens to other people and not where WE live."
Unfortunately, the statistics prove most parents wrong. There are NO
CLASS distinctions with this issue, NO RACE or NEIGHBORHOOD or
SOCIO-ECONOMIC groups that are exempt.
Sexual predators are preying on children all over the place, in all
kinds of neighborhoods, and the numbers are increasing every day.
Many caring parents just avoid this topic altogether because it can be
so upsetting and overwhelming: The truth is, they don't talk about it
because they don't know what to say...
What if there were easy, non-threatening ways to teach your children
about this topic that worked, and didn't make them afraid...

much chaos. What I realize now is that I was trying to control him, and
he was just resisting and reacting to everything I was trying to get
him to do or not do."
A lot of the tools of KKSAA involve asking kids questions, so I just
started asking him the questions about everything, and so much has
changed for me!
I used to think when he resisted me, he had a behavioral problem; now I
empower him and I let him make the right choices for him. It's cut down
the chaos and has allowed so much more ease for us!
Another benefit has been that when I used to drop him off anywhere (a
babysitters, day care, etc.) he would get 'super clingy', he would cry
and there would be this entire upset.
After using the ways to communicate that I learned, now he's so much
more aware, he can navigate any situation and use his own awareness as
far as what's 'right for him', and then he comes back and shares with
me what worked, what hasn't worked and what we can change together in
the future.
So when I drop him off now, he just takes off to go play; he doesn't
have any problem with it any more!

That's a big number and it's pretty hard to imagine.
To make that just a bit easier to get a handle on, imagine that your

A new study was recently released by the Witherspoon Institute
which reports that there are over 116,000 INTERNET SEARCHES every day
for child pornography.
That's another huge number and the suppliers of child porn need a

If you used one three inch baby rattle to represent each of those
searches, and you stacked the rattles end-to-end on top of each other,
they would surpass the height of the Statue of Liberty not 1 time, not
5 times, but NINETY-FIVE TIMES each day. 95 Times each day!
Human Trafficking is now the fastest growing crime in the world (an
over $28 Billion industry.)
By far, the most common reason for Human Trafficking has been the
sexual exploitation of women and children.
Needless to say, times are changing rapidly and unless you teach your
kids how to do something different, they too may end up as one of the
abused children.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
